Hi! I'm Jaylenn Wong, and I'm glad you've visited my website. My path to becoming a real estate agent in Kansas City has had its ups and downs. However, my faith, family, and a genuine wish to help others guide me. I want to share a bit about myself and my inspiration for starting Living in Kansas City.

I moved to Kansas City from California to attend seminary. What I thought would be a short stay became a long-term commitment to my family, faith, and the community. I understand how stressful it can be to move to a new place, especially with your family. That's why I've dedicated myself to helping families find homes and making their transitions smooth.

Before starting my real estate career, I was in pastoral work. It wasn't long before I realized I needed a new career. I have five kids and a wife who works hard as an ER nurse. As much as I loved being a pastor, I needed a change to better support my family.

When I reached out to Jaylenn and his team, I was just beginning the process of thinking about selling my home in the suburbs to move to a different part of Kansas City. My kids were grown, and I didn’t need all the space that I had. I was researching real estate agents when I came across Jaylenn, which led me to his videos on YouTube. I basically binged all of them! It really helped me get to know him well, and the first time that I reached out to him, it felt like he was an old friend.

He’s everything you would expect and more! When he listed my house, he did a really deep dive into the market surrounding my area, and he came up with a price that would net me the most money and sell the house quickly. He also set fair expectations, as I knew that I was reaching out to him during a slower time in the market cycle. He fairly mitigated that by using facts and data to help me understand how to best position myself in the current market. The thing I loved most about Jaylenn was that he was entirely for MY plans, and did not use sales tactics to get me to list! I look back at the three agents I interviewed, and two of them said “It’s a great time to sell.”
